Alturas Residents Can Get Emergency-Alert Registration Help Through the Modoc County Sheriff’s Office

ALTURAS — November 2, 2026. Modoc County’s Office of Emergency Services says residents who cannot complete online Genasys enrollment may use a paper emergency-alert registration form.

Genasys is the local system for warnings about potential evacuations, natural disasters and other emergency situations. The OES page allows registration online and explains that a printable form can be dropped at the Sheriff’s Office for staff assistance.

The county lists Sheriff’s Office administrative services at 102 South Court Street in Alturas, with a published phone number of 530-233-4416. Staff can answer procedural questions about enrollment; 911 remains the number for an immediate emergency.
